Psg 160 trachythorax maculicollis.
Country of origin: Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Food: oleander, salal, pyracantha. I gave my breed in the first stadia oleander and pyracantha. Then I put these animals together with psg 46 marmessoidea rosea and I gave them salal and a little bit Oleander. Now they are between l4 and adult and they eat only salal. So I recommend to keep them on multiple foodplants,
especially in the first stadia.
Temperature:Room temperature is fine for this species.
Humidity:Spraying every 2-3 days is good.
Equipement: A terrarium from approximately 30 cm high on 20*20 cm is perfect. So you can also use a standing up faunabox.
Sex determination: The males look very hard like the female, except that they are smaller. The female is 8-8.5 cm long.
Breeding: The animals breed sexually. The eggs are small, yellow and have tiny hairs. The females paste these on the walls or feeding plants. The eggs hatch after 1-1.5 months(sometimes even faster). You can put them in another container, bet the best is to let them past in the terrarium. Keep them a little bit humid.
Number of molts: 6 times for the female, 5 times for the male.
Lifespan (nymph): The nymphs are adult after 6 months on room temperature.
Special behavior:When you disturb the animals, they fall down. The adult males and females can fly very well. They will also bent their head to show their red neck.
special (outer) characteristics: The animals are brown/grey with a little red neck when they are nymph. When they are adult, they darker, they have beautiful grey wings with some yellow close to the body.
Difficulty: 2-3( easy species to breed, but they are difficult for the food)
(1=Very easy, 10=Only for experts.)
